Liz Barron is Senior Director of Custom Programs in Executive Education at the University of Maryland. Prior to joining the University of Maryland, Ms. Barron served as Director of Education at NACD, and Director of Leadership Programs and Director of Communications for the Brookings Center for Executive Education at the Brookings Institution. Previously, she was a senior executive for both Discovery Communications Incorporated and the BBC, the United Kingdom’s public service broadcaster.
Ms. Barron holds a Masters in Public Administration from George Washington University and is an executive coach and graduate of the Georgetown Leadership Coaching program accredited by the International Coach Federation (ICF). She is a certified mediator (Merge Consultants AZ) and is certified to administer the Center for Creative Leadership’s suite of 360-degree assessments. She is a former adjunct Professor of Communications at American University.
