Bill McNabb and Daryl Brewster
F. William McNabb III is a former chair and CEO of Vanguard, and cochair of CECP’s Strategic Investor Initiative. McNabb joined Vanguard in 1986. He became CEO in 2008 and chair of the board of directors and the board of trustees in 2010. Previously, he led each of Vanguard’s client-facing business divisions. McNabb is active in the investment management industry and serves as chair of the Investment Company Institute. He also serves as chair of the board of directors of the Zoological Society of Philadelphia. McNabb is a member of the board of the United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey, the Wharton Leadership Advisory Board, and the Dartmouth Athletics Advisory Board.
Daryl Brewster is the CEO of CECP: The CEO Force for Good, where he spearheads the effort to engage a coalition of CEOs who believe that a company’s social strategy—how it engages with key stakeholders including employees, communities, investors, and customers—determines company success. He has 30 years of corporate executive experience in the United States and abroad, including serving as an officer for several Fortune 500 companies (Nabisco, Kraft), as the turnaround CEO of a publicly traded company (Krispy Kreme), and as the head of five multibillion-dollar business units.
Brewster currently serves on several public and private company boards. Brewster also has an extensive background in nonprofits. He currently serves on the board of the R. W. Johnson-supported Partnership for Healthy Kids and the CIFF-funded MANA (Mother Administered Nutritive Assistance), and he was recently elected to the board of the National Organization on Disability. Brewster has served on a Blue Ribbon Commission for the National Association of Corporate Directors, the board of the American Marketing Association, and several regional nonprofits.
