Welcome to the NACD Board Leaders’ Blog

The NACD Board Leaders’ Blog is the official blog of the National Association of Corporate Directors—the only membership organization that advances exemplary board leadership through proprietary information and insights that corporate board members need to confidently navigate complex business challenges and enhance shareowner value.

The purpose of the NACD Board Leaders’ Blog is to increase awareness of current board governance thinking, leading practices and practical tools that help create more effective and efficient directors and boards.  The NACD Board Leaders’ Blog enables NACD to strengthen its leading position as the Voice of the Director.

At NACD, we are committed to helping corporate boards effectively transition from “discussion” to “action” around big issues.  Within this blog you’ll find inside information from our CEO, Peter Gleason, along with director-centric analyses of important governance news, commentary on the current business environment, and opinion pieces on hot-button directorship topics.

Stay tuned also for guest posts and spotlights from our members—corporate directors from around the country who take board governance seriously and set the tone for leading board practices.

We’re excited to host a compelling, thought-provoking conversation within this site, and we look forward to hearing your comments and opinions.  Let us know what you want to learn, who you want to hear from, and suggestions to amplify our voice.

Our blog is moderated, so please be patient if you don’t see your comment immediately appear.

We welcome and encourage new and differing opinions, and hope to see some lively debates.  However, in order to foster a positive experience for our readers and participants, we ask that you stay on topic and refrain from defamatory or offensive language. Overtly promotional content and ad hominem attacks will not be published.
